but new and bought
with currency
from decades of
work grit stubborn
determination
the foolish belief
that sometimes
i just knew better
driving it
for utility and
pleasure
undertaking
with the dealer
the needed service and
repairs inevitably
trading it in along
with another patch
of fungible cash for
something new
the latest version
a hybrid or the
all-electric
self-driving
model
until the
day i total it or
give it away
to someone else
for nothing when
it is no longer
any use to me
